Nolan had a great time at the Lincoln Park Zoo!  He enjoyed the animals, he rode the little train, and here he is waving to his friend Sophia who is on the carousal ride.

Nolan loved his school Easter party!  They collected easter eggs, and played fun games.

Avery has gotten so strong.  She can really lift up her head, and easily rolls onto her back from her front!

Happy Easter!!!

Today we had my parents, Todd's parents, and my brother and sister in-law with their baby Kaylee for brunch. It was a wonderful day with family!

Day 144

Nolan went on a special outing with Grandma and Grandpa Hassman to see the show "Thomas and Friends," at the Sears Center.  Nolan certainly enjoyed the show.

Nolan spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Hassman, and the fun included a game of Candyland!

The Fitzgerald cousins' sent Nolan and Avery Easter baskets.  Nolan LOVED the elephant playdoh set!  We had to play with it as soon as he spotted it.

My friend Christie gave Nolan and Avery Easter baskets filled with fun goodies.  And one of those goodies was an Easter hat for Avery, so of course I had to doll her up and take pictures!  Nolan had fun handing her Easter Eggs to get her to show us the adorable smile.

Nolan went to visit his cousin Kaylee with Grandma and Grandpa today.  He is becoming quite the photographer,  he loves taking pictures with my old Canon.  Here he snapped a shot of Kaylee sleeping.  How Cute!!!

Miss Avery wants to be up and at them!  She watches her brother so intently as he plays, and she loves to stand.  Here she is holding on the couch and standing so proud.

Day 135

Nolan is such a sweet big brother.  I was in the kitchen cleaning, and I hear Nolan playing with Avery.  He is telling her to grab her toys, and saying, "It is easy, do it like this."  I am happy to know that my boy is eager to help his sister learn new things.

Today, Nolan and I had a mommy and son adventure.  Nolan's preschool class went on an outing to see Winnie the Pooh the musical at Schaumburg High School.  Nolan was eager with anticipation for the show to begin.

I just had to add another from my expert almost three year old photographer.  Nolan LOVES his Wrigley!

My sweet boy makes me smile!  He has taken over my point and shoot camera.  I picked it up today to find 153 pictures taken of random things around our house.  Here is my boy's shot of our train table.  Maybe he will grow up to be a photographer!  

Day 130

Today, Nolan and my parents visited the Chicago Children's Museum.  Nolan is becoming such a big boy.  He now is very imaginative in his play.  This is a picture of him digging for dinosaur bones.

Day 129

Today Todd and I will be married for 5 years!  I cannot believe how quickly the past 5 years have gone, and how much we have grown and changed!  I am so in LOVE with the family we have created.  

Our parents were wonderful, my parents took Nolan for the evening, and Todd's parents had my other sweetheart Avery!  Thank you for making our night out in Chi-town possible!

Nolan went to dinner at the Rainforest Cafe with Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Rich!  I certainly think he enjoyed the animal life.

Avery had her 4 month doctor visit today.

 Avery meeting her cousin Kaylee for the first time.  Look at her studying Kaylee---just cute!  These two are 4 months apart exactly, I see some fun times ahead!

Avery got this little bunny "Spring" from Mary, a family friend.  Mary's daughter Linda and I grew up together.  Avery absolutely adores it.  She thinks it is just her size, and it tastes pretty good too!

I wish I could keep him little for a little longer--he reminds me just about everyday that he is almost "THREE."

Avery was 4 months old on April 1st!  My sweet baby is growing so fast!

This morning, I ran a 5k running race, and Nolan did a 100 yard dash for EASTER EGGS!
